in-home sessions
IT’S COLD OUT…. because it’s winter and we live in Canada. Kind of restricting for many isn’t it? As a photographer who does not specialize in weddings and who likes to stay busy all year, winter is a real challenge! For the longest time I was desperately trying to find FREE indoor locations in Calgary to utilize for family shoots over the winter. Then suddenly.. after a couple of sessions at client homes, I thought to myself, why in the world am I not pushing for this? These shoots are amazing! The kids are more comfortable because they’re in their own home. The parents are relaxed because we can take our time/breaks if we need to. Outfit changes are 100% easier to make happen. Oh and most importantly, EVERYONE IS WARM. These sessions are so special. They are an intimate and beautiful way to tell a family’s story.
